The proposal of the Peace School deals with and develops in four macro-themes that are intertwined, continuously and naturally, within educational practice: education to memory, to citizenship, to human rights, and to non-violent conflict resolution.
What is presented here is above all an incentive, a starting point for anyone who wants to confront him or herself personally or/and accompanied by their group of reference with the history and memories of Monte Sole, in all their possible implications and variations.
In particular, we ask teachers to work with us to develop detailed proposals tailored to the different needs of the classes, depending on age and educational goals.
The educational work offered by the Peace School needs, in order to be carried out with non-formal and interactive education methodologies, a reasonable number of work hours. For this reason, the shortest possible Workshop that is being offered on Monte Sole takes a whole day (9.30-17.00).
For the Workshop to be as participatory as possible, the work is structured in small groups of 10 to 15 participants, which include the collaboration with an educator.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization that carries out institutional activities. However, we need your help in order to continue to plan and implement our workshops with you: ask us how you can support us. For workshops lasting several days, you can take advantage of the hospitality of our facility for up to a maximum of 25 people. For larger groups and for meals there is the possibility to use the hotel/restaurant “il Poggiolo”, which is located 200m away from our establishment.
